Quickly emerging as one of the hottest faces in television, Shana Hiatt has become the face of America’s newest obsession, televised poker. No stranger to the limelight, Shana has starred in hit films and was named one of Maxim magazine’s “Hot 100” in 2005.
Hiatt can currently be seen as the host of “Poker After Dark,” NBC’s new late night show. The show premiered January 2, 2007 to favorable ratings and has quickly turned into a fan favorite. “Poker After Dark” invites viewers into the exclusive Las Vegas poker scene. The nightly hour-long show features six poker professionals vying for a winner-take-all $120,000 first place prize. Each night of original programming will feature an intimate look at one table as it develops over the week, culminating with winner on Friday night. Saturday night’s show (“the director’s cut”) recaps the week’s events with Hiatt and that week’s winner, offering commentary and insight into their strategy.
Hiatt was last seen on the hugely popular “World Poker Tour” for the Travel Channel. The show earned the network’s highest rating with Hiatt in the unique position of interviewing players and providing insight on the game. Hiatt was known for her excellent ability to transition in and out of WPT’s “personal interest” segments, as well as having the ability to carefully talk to emotional players who may have just lost a good deal of money.
Hiatt has starred in a number of hit films including Grandma’s Boy and Must Love Dogs.
Shana currently resides in Los Angeles.
