Lauren Mayhew

Biography

Lauren Mayhew is an American Actress, Singer, and On-Camera Host.

When you've been a member of a pop rock band that toured with Britney Spears and Destiny's Child (to name just two), interviewed Hollywood’s best and most famous entertainers on a nationally-syndicated TV show, and starred in one of the most wildly successful comedy movie franchises of all-time, where do you go from there? For multi-faceted and multi-talented LAUREN MAYHEW, the answer lies in a single word – UP.

Lauren is no stranger to the entertainment biz. Signed by her 13th birthday to Epic Records, Lauren started PYT with three of her friends, touring the world with 'N Sync, Destiny’s Child, 98 Degrees and Britney Spears. PYT's hectic travel schedule left little time for Lauren's acting career, so she said good-bye to the cast of soap opera, "Guiding Light," and headed out on tour with the group. The band charted two Billboard singles and was featured on soundtracks such as "Miss Congeniality," "Bring It On," and "Center Stage." She even performed at the Super Bowl alongside Britney Spears, Sting and Aerosmith!

In addition to music, Lauren also has some impressive acting and hosting chops. Her big screen debut came playing a lead role in New Line Cinema’s "Raise Your Voice," which was quickly followed by a supporting lead in Universal Picture's "American Pie: Band Camp." During this time, Lauren also booked guest staring roles on TV shows such as "CSI," "CSI Miami," "Law & Order," "Joan of Arcadia," and "Medical Investigations," and recurring roles on NBC's "American Dreams" and Showtime's HIT TV series, "Dexter," in which she played the love interest of one of the show's serial killers.

From there, Lauren quickly caught the hosting bug and simultaneously began hosting her own show for Teen Nick, entitled "Reel Access." Her talents were recognized by NBC, who scooped her up to host for "Access Hollywood" at the Teen Choice Awards, Kids Choice Awards, American Music Awards, and numerous other red carpet premieres, junkets, and one-on-one celeb interviews.

While Lauren got her start in entertainment hosting, she has since branched out to host in countless other genres, viewing it as her opportunity to explore and delve into various sub-cultures of life. Lauren quickly proved a natural in the world of sports-entertainment, after being recruited as the new ring announcer and national anthem singer for WWE’s SMACKDOWN!, Superstars, and ECW. She performed internationally in packed arenas of over 20,000 eager fans, reaching 150 million TV viewers worldwide. Moving forward, Lauren's hosting credits continued to run the gamut - from live coverage for UFC, MMA (with live pay-per-view events across the country), WWE, and the Anaheim Ducks games for HondaCenter.com, to a live poker event on KTLA, to 2 comic book/superhero series, called "Fascinating Fights" and "The Flash After Show."

Lauren has also hosted for international network, "The QYou," TYT Network's "Pop Trigger" and "TYT Sports," Frederator's "Mic Drop," and Getty Images Video; and has appeared as a pop culture/social media contributor on HLN's "The Daily Share." And stay tuned! Because she just got news that her newest film, "What Happened Last Night" got distribution in the US and in Canada. You can catch her on the silver screen, as well as promoting her new EDM single throughout all of Europe with record label, Pulsive Media. Her single, "WHAT IS LOVE," has aired nationally on FOX Sports' "UFC Tonight," internationally on FOX Japan, and has landed her numerous features in online magazines, blogs and media publications, including Yahoo Sports, Bleacher Report, and MMA Junkie - all in part due to her incorporation of celebrity UFC fighters such as Urijah Faber!

For Lauren Mayhew's dynamic career, it's safe to say the sky is the limit! Whether it's as an Actor, Musician or Host, Lauren's approach to her work is filled with passion and determination. She immerses herself completely in each respective environment and culture, allowing her to successfully relate to her on-camera counterparts, her celebrity interviewees, and most importantly - her rapidly expanding fan-audience.
