Biography
Ethan recently completed his second season of "Chefs Vs City" on The Food Network, achieving some of the networks highest ratings for the year. Traveling to multiple cities across the US, Ethan hosted the fun (yet intensely competitive) show that included everything from the best rated restaurants to hole-in-the-wall dives.
Previous to that Erickson has worked on projects with subjects ranging from Entertainment to extreme sports to kids, on networks like NBC ("Extra"), CBS (an Ashton Kutcher production), E! ("Coming Attractions"), TV Guide ("411"), CW ("Get This Party Started") to multiple pilots involving everything under the sun.
Even though proud of his Midwest roots, Ethan knew there was much more to explore than just his hometown of Minneapolis, MN. Shortly after graduating high school his adventurous spirit lead him to the University of California at Santa Barbara where he quickly fell in love with the California Dream.
After receiving a degree in English Literature as well as realizing his new found love of the ocean, Erickson decided next to head back out into the adventure of Life once again, this time to Hollywood.
Many, many dinners of Top Ramen later, it seems the risk was well worth it. Entertainment has been a great fit for Erickson who has amassed an extensive list of television and film acting credits including everything from "Melrose Place" to all three of the "CSI" shows to "Castle" as well as "Friends" among others. It wasn't until more recently, when an ex-girlfriend insisted he had a natural gift for talking too much, that Ethan decided to add hosting to his resume.
Ethan currently resides in Hollywood, travels a great deal and gets in as much Santa Barbara sun and Kitesurfing as he possibly can...
